School. We trust that you will enjoy a fruitful relationship with us and that
we will be able to work closely together to achieve the very best for your
child whilst in our care.
We believe that children have the right to learn in a safe, secure environment and we continually strive to provide this. Education is best when it is in partnership with the home; we therefore encourage a close and friendly association. Every effort is made to create and maintain a partnership which is beneficial to the children. We promote an ‘open door’ policy and welcome visitors to school. |

We are very proud of our school which has been recognised by OFSTED as having some outstanding qualities. We have been awarded four Quality Marks from the Basic Skills Agency recognising the standards of teaching and learning in Literacy and Numeracy at Newsham. In July 2000 we received the Investors in People Award.
We hope this prospectus answers any questions you may have about Newsham First School but urge you to visit us to see us in action! The information is under constant review and details are correct at the time of printing. Parents will be informed of any major changes to school policy through regular newsletters.
