We run a whole school reward system that encourages good effort and teamwork in school. Throughout their time at Newsham the children will be part of a coloured team. Each week they will be rewarded team points for good behaviour, good manners, excellent effort and quality work in class. These points are totalled on a Friday. The winning team for the week are awarded a trophy in our celebration assembly as well as receiving a short period of extra playtime. The team with most points in each half term also receive a small prize.
Children are also rewarded for outstanding attendance.
A man-of the match award is also presented to pupils following events that our school sports teams have been involved in.
