As children move from reception to Year 1 and until they leave us at the end of Year 4 we follow the National Curriculum and QCA schemes of work along with the National Literacy and Numeracy Strategies.
We have a 26 place nursery which is an integral part of the whole school organisation. Children can be admitted to the nursery in the term following their third birthday but a place will often not be available until the Autumn Term following their third birthday. Attendance is for 5 half-day sessions.
Application forms for nursery places are available from the school office or from Mrs Gould, our nursery teacher. Please apply as soon as your child has reached the age of two.
The Nursery and Reception classes form the ‘Foundation Stage’ of our school structure.
When children join us in Reception they continue to follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum which covers six areas of learning; these are:
